One of the best trips ever

was to Costa Rica!

The funnest day of my life..... was rafting in Costa Rica!

I believe they said it was a class 3-4?
Not sure the translation was right on that as it seemed much more serious!

Well it was more intense than any rapids we've done in Colorado.

Leroy, Karen, Aaron, & I went almost 3 years ago.

The first morning we were there we took an 1 1/12

bus ride out to a farm where they fed us breakfast.

Who knows what it was, but we ate things we recognized. (Potatoes, rice)
We then took another very bumpy ride down to the river.

The guides had us put on helmets and life vests.

A few of Aaron's friends from work were on the

trip as well, and were on our boat with us.

The far side of the boat is Leroy, Karen, & I.

The near side Aaron is in the middle.

A few times honestly, I was freaked out.

But that's the fun right, DANGER!!

No one from our raft got flung out but others did.

We were drenched all day long.

It took about 5 hours to go down the river.

The guide asked if anyone wanted to go down a rapid

in only their life vest, outside the raft.

OK !! So after Aaron did it he said that he wouldn't do that again.

He got trapped under the raft and couldn't breathe!

HELLO~DANGER!

I thought they were crrrraaaazzzy!

Aaron & Karen got their heads knocked together.

Therefore, the reason for helmets!

We were literally flying all over the place.

At one point we got to get out and jump into the river to relax.

It was so beautiful with trees covering both sides.

I had the most fun ever.

What was your funnest day ever?

Hey Amy - that trip looks so fun! Chad and I are hoping to get away together in the next six months. Our last trip - just the two of us - for more than two nights - was our cruise in 2006. We've talked of going to Costa Rico..if we go we'll have to get the name of the river you went on!! :)

That sounds like an awesome adventure! I don't know if I can pinpoint my favorite trip, there has been so many fun trips. One that stands out, was when Ranse and I went on our first business trip to Cabo. We went on an ATV tour with our group of about 20 and you know in Mexico there are no rules!! We're lucky we all made it out of there alive. It was a wild ride along the coast and in the desert. Too many fun things happened on that trip to list. Love this idea!
